All Smiles!

A report to come soon, but I wanted to post a few pics and send a HUGE thank you for all the love and support I have received.

The smile that was on my face from the day we arrived in Squaw until I left the track on Sunday afternoon was the result of the most incredible journey that got me to the start line and me truly appreciating every moment that the day had to give! (what a long run-on sentence).

The course was everything I wanted it to be. I ran the smart run I had hoped for. I nailed my nutrition. AND, there was not a moment that I took for granted the gifts I am given: great health (although I don't feel it now); the most loving, positive, supportive husband; the incredible support of family and friends. I could literally FEEL the love and positive support the entire race.

I am just completely overwhelmed with how blessed I am. I am so fortunate to have the most wonderful people in my life.

I'd really hate to be on the bubble for so long, but you did it, and you made it, and it all that matters! We were scared pant-less waiting for you at the finish. I need to hear more details on what you told me:) Congrats, Meredith, the hard work did pay off, and now you can sleep well with the monkey off your back - and eat some sugar! We got pictures, will send later.

Mer! Congratulations. What a fantastic run. All the hard work and sucrose-denial paid off. Great photos. Can't wait to read all about it.

Aloha Meredith,

I ran 23:56 for my first WS back in 96, and I know how tough it is to be on the bubble. Big Congrats!

meredith, saw your comment on annette bednosky's post, and it reminded me that I wanted to get in touch. I was with/behind you from 20ish through Robinson Flat, and then lost touch.

Congrats on sub-24! I was on pace until just before Rucky Chucky, but then my quads rebelled. 25:15 -- but I'll take it for my first WS. Hope your recovery is going well,

Layna

I'm glad it was such a positive experience for you. That guy with all the water bottles looks really familiar -- I'll bet he took great care of you!

Olga - thank you for being there!!

Hank - you were so very missed out there! You were definitely with me in spirit!

Steve - Can you believe I did it?? You will have the run you know you can soon enough :)

Gary - thanks!

Layna - it was so wonderful running with you!! Thank you for "finding" me! Big hug of congrats and I hope our paths cross again!

Greg - I was the BEST! Next time you have have to Paul juggle your bottles too. It is quite a talent :) By the way, did you know that you were on stage as one of the potential front-runners for the race? Paul and I were so baffled looking for you after your name was announced.
